Frequently Asked Dental Questions - Beverly Hills, CA
You Have Questions, We Have Answers
Patients ask us a lot of questions every single day, and we love it! One of the big things we provide is education, because the more you know about taking care of your oral health, the stronger and more beautiful your teeth will be. We’ve answered a few of our most popular questions below, but you can always give us a call if there is something else you’re curious about.
When should I go to the dentist?
You should visit the dentist at least twice a year for a checkup and cleaning and if you’re experiencing any pain or dysfunction related to your teeth. Regular exams enable our team to catch minor issues early and stop many before they ever begin. And, by coming to see us as soon as a problem develops, we can prevent it from becoming a much bigger headache.
I’m really afraid of the dentist. Can you help?
Yes! In addition to having a warm and friendly team, we also offer multiple types of sedation dentistry. These are proven to eliminate pesky dental nerves and help even the most fearful patients finally feel relaxed in the treatment chair. Give us a call today to discuss your options.
Is it normal for my gums to bleed every time I clean my teeth?
While this symptom is common, it should not be ignored. It could be a sign that you’re cleaning your teeth with too much pressure, or you might have early-stage gum disease. If the bleeding continues despite brushing and flossing with a lighter touch for a few days, go ahead and give us a call. It is clearly related to an infection at this point, but we’ll be able to take care of it right away.
How long will it take to fix my tooth?
The answer to this question will vary depending on the individual and the extent to which the tooth is damaged. Minor cavities can usually be repaired in a single appointment with a tooth-colored filling, and we can even fix more extensive damage with an E4D One-Visit Crown. But, the only way to definitively know is for you to come see us.
How long does it take to get dental implants?
For patients replacing a small number of teeth who have good oral health, the entire process may take about six months from beginning to end. If someone is missing several teeth and has gum disease, however, it may require closer to a year. We can give you a definitive timeline at your FREE dental implant consultation.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
Beverly Hills Complete Dentistry is happy to file claims for any dental insurance plan regardless of the provider, but it should be noted that we are NOT in-network with any insurance. We’ll do everything to maximize your benefits and help you be reimbursed as quickly as possible, but you will be expected to pay for your treatment on the day you visit us. You’re always welcome to give us a call if you have any questions.
